Abstract

With the recent development of new applications equipped with artificial intelligence, debates are growing around not only their legal repercussions, but also their possible impacts on the training of legal professionals and on their careers in the near future. This essay seeks to analyze some possible repercussions on the teaching of Law of the recent growth of artificial intelligence technologies. In particular, the paper analyzes: proposals for the creation of specific disciplines in the curricula of Law Schools for the study of the interaction between law and technology; proposals for inserting student training in the use of intelligent systems in the curricula of Law Schools; and, finally, the thesis that artificial intelligence would replace the current functions of legal education. The work adopts the constitutionalized private law perspective and seeks to highlight the risk that the aforementioned trends promote the replacement of legal system values, notably the protection of human dignity, by market values.
