Sustentabilidade nas Instituições de Ensino Superior e os Efeitos no Comportamento Pró-Ambiental dos Alunos

Resumo

As instituições de ensino superior (IES) estão desenvolvendo práticas de sustentabilidade como parte das suas intervenções. Contudo, poucos estudos investigaram como as ações de sustentabilidade nas IES afetam o comportamento de compra pró-ambiental e verde dos estudantes universitários. Para tanto, este estudo utilizou uma abordagem empírica usando um modelo de equações estruturais para fornecer novas descobertas empíricas de 186 estudantes de uma IES do Sul do Brasil por meio de pesquisa quantitativa. Os resultados mostraram que as ações de sustentabilidade da IES afetaram positivamente o comportamento de cidadania, comportamento ativista e preocupação ambiental dos alunos, e esses comportamentos pró-ambientais impactam seu comportamento de compra verde. Este estudo contribui para o avanço do conhecimento, demonstrando que as ações de sustentabilidade da IES motivam os alunos a desenvolverem comportamentos pró-ambientais, gerando um consumo mais sustentável.
