Por que os Empreendedores Falham? Uma Análise da Afetividade e da Cognição ao Empreender

A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o comportamento dos empreendedores em situações nas quais ocorrem falhas, além de investigar se tais falhas são influenciadas pela afetividade e/ou pela cognição. Esta investigação pauta-se em uma abordagem qualitativa exploratória. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas, utilizando um roteiro semiestruturado, conduzidas com nove empreendedores. A análise dos resultados foi realizada por meio do software Atlas.ti, e os dados foram agrupados em três categorias: comportamento empreendedor, falhas do empreendedor e comportamentos afetivos e cognitivos do empreendedor que influenciaram as falhas. Os resultados evidenciam que tanto a afetividade quanto a cognição exercem influência sobre o comportamento dos empreendedores, levando-os a falhas. Pode-se concluir que os empreendedores devem aprender a lidar com comportamentos afetivos e cognitivos para que minimizem o risco de falhas nos negócios.
