Cómo Construir una Organización Ágil mediante la Gobernanza de TI

Resumen

El entorno empresarial contemporáneo es altamente dinámico, y las organizaciones, así como sus directivos, buscan alcanzar un desempeño superior y una ventaja competitiva a través de los recursos y capacidades de las tecnologías de la información (TI). Este estudio tiene como objetivo investigar cómo la gobernanza de TI puede contribuir a la construcción de una organización ágil. Para ello, se empleó el método cualitativo de estudio de caso único en una importante empresa aseguradora de Brasil. Como resultado, se identificó que la gobernanza de TI, mediante la alineación estratégica entre el negocio y la TI, así como a través de la articulación de sus mecanismos (procesos, estructuras y mecanismos relacionales) y dominios (estratégico, de gestión y operativo), integrados al marco de trabajo ágil SAFe, permitió que la organización estudiada se volviera más ágil. El estudio contribuye a la literatura sobre gobernanza de TI y métodos ágiles, así como a la práctica gerencial, al proponer un modelo de integración entre modelos de gobernanza y métodos ágiles.

Magíster en Gestión para la Competitividad en TI, Administración y Negocios por la Escuela de Administración de Empresas de São Paulo de la Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), mediante el desarrollo de investigaciones en Transformación Digital. Licenciado en Tecnología en Procesamiento de Datos, Administrador con énfasis en Sistemas de Información, Bachiller en Contabilidad y con un posgrado en Ingeniería de la Información.

Doctor en Administración de Empresas por la EAESP/FGV, Magíster en Ingeniería de Computación por el IPT/SP y Graduado en Administración por la Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Realizó una estancia posdoctoral en el Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG) de la Universidad de Lisboa. Es profesor del Programa de Posgrado en Administración (Académico) y del Programa de Posgrado en Administración de Negocios (Profesional) de la Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie, investigando temas relacionados con la Gestión de Operaciones, Gestión de Proyectos y Tecnología de la Información y la Comunicación. Actualmente dicta materias de Gestión de Proyectos, Gestión de la Calidad, Gestión de la Innovación y Gestión de Operaciones en las carreras de grado de la Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie, y de Tecnología de la Información en las carreras de grado de la EAESP/FGV.
