Abstract

This teaching case presents how entrepreneurial bricolage, a way of reusing what you have and doing a lot with little, is present in entrepreneurship in conditions of limited resources. The case favors the understanding of the use of entrepreneurial bricolage in practice. It is recommended for entrepreneurs facing resource constraints and everyone else interested in learning about entrepreneurship and management. Its main contributions are (1) stimulating the awareness regarding the importance of knowing the costs and frequently evaluating the viability of the business; (2) the promotion of learning about how to undertake creatively in situations of limited resources, in a simple way and using little, and (3) the demonstration of the fact that entrepreneurship is within everyone's reach, as long as one has at least a certain ability to make do with what she/he has. These contributions are particularly relevant in contexts of need, underdevelopment, poverty and crisis, in which it is more necessary to do a lot with little and make better use of what one already has.
