Transferência reversa de conhecimento em negócios internacionais: Uma revisão semi-sistemática da literatura

Este artigo aborda a crescente importância das subsidiárias estrangeiras como fontes significativas de conhecimento e vantagens competitivas para as empresas multinacionais (MNEs). O foco principal é a transferência reversa de conhecimento (RKT) proveniente da subsidiaria estrangeira para a matriz da MNE, examinando a literatura pertinente por meio de uma revisão semi-sistemática da literatura. O estudo, baseado em 102 artigos coletados de 1984 a 2022 nas bases de dados Web of Science e Scopus, visa mapear clusters através da ferramenta VOSviewer sobre estudos que destacam elementos relevantes para a efetivação da RKT. Os resultados revelam insights valiosos para as MNEs aprenderem com suas subsidiárias estrangeiras, como adaptação local, capacidades tecnológicas e de inovação, novas práticas de gestão, práticas de responsabilidade social e sustentabilidade e capacidade de absorção do conhecimento, consolidando posições de mercado diante da concorrência. Além de contribuir para a literatura de negócios internacionais, gestão do conhecimento e RKT, o artigo oferece implicações práticas e gerenciais. As limitações identificadas, juntamente com recomendações e uma agenda de pesquisas futuras, proporcionam uma visão abrangente e robusta sobre o papel crescente das subsidiárias estrangeiras no cenário global das MNEs.
