Resistance training, known as a systematic ensemble resistance exercise (RE), is a usual resource applied for the development of some muscular capacities, both in a sporting context, as well as in situations of re-habilitation and/or physical conditioning of nonathletes. However, to adequately prescribe two important variables (percentage of maximum weight [%-MW] and maximum number of repetitions [MNR]) in each C-RE, which is known to vary according to the adopted methodology – endurance or strength development – is necessary to consider the anthropomorphic and physic-metabolic characteristics of new practitioners. From these assumptions, we aimed at verifying, in young college females, possible intra-individual differences related to the obtained MRN in two exercises designed for different body segments and that applied 80%-MW. The results showed that there was a difference in absolute values of MNR between inferior and superior limbs, although the p-value (??= 0.05) was not considered statistically significant. However, we concluded that this kind of test trial can offer important information about the individual repercussions in the determining of resistance exercises initial load.Downloads
