Abstract

Hydroinformatics is a new denomination given to the field of application of technologies to data acquisition, analyses, and simulations to quantify the water use efficiently in Hydraulics, Hydrology, Water Quality, Management, etc. In this sense, the hydrological models are important tools from the field of hydroinformatics, which are utilized to model the runoff at river basins. In this work, the runoff modeling in large river basins in the semiarid of the state of Paraíba was realized with the distributed model NAVMO. Details on the modeling and the results for the Piranhas-Açu, and the lower part of the Paraíba river basins are presented and discussed herein.
