Abstract

The objective of the present study was to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on intervention programs aimed at promoting resilience in children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer. The PRISMA protocol was adopted, and the databases consulted were PUBMED, PsycINFO, SciELO, PePSIC, LILACS, and IndexPsi. Of the 508 publications initially screened, six articles remained in the corpus of analysis. The results indicated that publications of this scope are scarce, and the research is predominantly concentrated in the North American context. No resilience-promoting intervention programs specifically targeting children were identified, which reveals an unexplored and promising field. The interventions analyzed were subjected to scientific validation processes and, in general, pointed to effective and promising results.

Researcher conducting studies on the psychosocial factors associated with the diagnosis and treatment of childhood and adolescent cancer, with a focus on resilience. Currently pursuing a Specialization in Palliative Care at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), studying disparities resulting from sociodemographic variables in the care provided to children and adolescents in pediatric palliative care.
