Abstract

This papper presents some comments I developed in my free docentship entitled “The capitalism buccaneer: foreign debt, materialidade and culture in coffee saga. The republic reinforced some of the most noticeable marks which defined the features of buccaneirism. The fortune soldiers pawned everything under the risk of their actions. It was played the game of an almost immediate enrichment, of the conquest and adventure searching, instead of the vile profit. The “Encilhamento” is a special moment to observe the encourages of flibustery; its decayin put the ctry in a fanancial crisis without precedence. However, with financial scandals living side by side with the sharpest period of coffe prices fall, nobody can deny that this choking was only a little convulsion before the expansion occurred in the last 50 years of century, in which the most dynamic sector of economy quintupled. Keywords: “Encilhamento”; Capitalism Pirate; Deprived violence; Funding Scheme; Speculation; Racionalism.
