Chemical dependence a challenge in the execution of alternative penalties

Abstract

The present work has as objective to discuss the practice of Juridical Psychology in the scope of the execution of the penalties and the alternative measures, as well as to characterize them, presenting these measures as a way to the social reintegration of the person who commits minor offenses. For in such a way, it demonstrates the passage carried through in the ten years of existence of the Pole of Execution of Alternative Penalties (VEPA) of Fortaleza, relating the projects directed to the people in fulfillment of these penalties. It analyzes the drug abuse, identifying the inherent problems and actions to this population, mainly in what it refers to the therapeutical justice (NJT), service exclusively come back to the question. Although the Team Technique is composed for Social Psychologists and Assistants, the psychological intervention, preserves particularities with respect to evaluation, and priority as for the bordering conditions of mental health and chemical dependence on the part of the beneficiaries. Results showed that: half (48%) of the followed population almost does not exert any labor activity; associated to the fact of, the great majority (65%), haven’t concluded basic education; e, many (33%) are in families with total income of until a minimum wage. According to these significant social involvement, many projects are accomplished, aiming at to diminish such conditions through the professional training, schooling and the accompaniment to the person in harmful or dependent use of drugs. These are only possible through ample social net with diverse governmental agents or not. . work in social net if imposes as something essential into effect of perennial politics in relation to the accompaniment of drug addicts, what demand mutual respect to inter-sector activities knowledge and the autonomy of the institutions partners to them, aiming at the achievement of the objectives of social reintegration.
