Abstract

This paper presents a study about the influence of the choice of a objective function (OF) on the calibrated parameters of the SMAP, a hydrologic rainfall runoff model. Thus, to carry out the study simulations were done with OF’s, in order to verify the behaviour of the calibrated parameters. The application was carried through in three sub-watersheds of the Gramame river, located on the coast of Paraíba State. The results show a significant variation of the parameters depending on the use of the different OF’s used.
