Basic sanitation is essential for a good quality of life. However, the provision of such services is insufficient in some regions of the country, resulting in negative consequences for the environment, health, the economy, and the satisfaction of basic needs. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the socio-environmental impacts of basic sanitation in the Jean Silva Settlement community, in Quixadá - CE. The research began with the characterization of the study area, which included the delimitation of the Jean Silva Settlement and the identification of the local population. Next, a survey of the basic sanitation situation in the region was carried out, followed by mapping the socio-environmental impacts. Finally, the diagnosis revealed that basic sanitation services are inadequate for the settlement community, resulting in a deficit that generates negative socio-environmental impacts, directly affecting economic and social development, and compromising residents' basic needs.
