Abstract

The protection dispositives of computers equipament have grown in popularity in Brazil in the end of the eight´s. After twenty years of use, its knowledge is still quite unknown to the common computer user. This paper describes the circuits used in those dispositives(surge protector,line voltage regulator and ups) in order to the user be able to choose among the available options, depending on the application.
