Abstract

This paper investigates the linear FIR filter for biometric signals preprocessing. It was made a study of linear FIR filters and its principal characteristics in time and frequency. We developed a software in Pascal language, based on the Delphi environment. The proposed linear FIR filter were applied to real voice signals analysis and to noisy ECG signals from MIT/BIH arrhythmia database.
