Abstract

Facing the fierce competition between companies, there are many factors that have been observed by managers in order to propose improvements and cost savings in the supply chain, one of them, the aspect related to the transport of goods, heavily impacting factor in the composition of cost of the final product. Thus, this work, the initial part of a thesis in development, aims to conduct a theoretical study on the importance of collaborative management of transport - CTM, for loading in general. The proposal is to present this new approach in order to instigate the improvement of research and implementation by managers in order to increase sales and level of customer service, reducing costs and working capital and inventories throughout the supply chain.
