Vocational technical education in Ceará: some thoughts on education

The technical vocational education in Ceará has the propaedeutic character regarding the training of the working class. However, there could be an error when referencing the technical education as mere training without striking reflection of the intellectual, being the latter acharacteristic of the academic areas of universities. The objectify to discuss the subject of the technical teaching in the state of Ceará considering the current context of the educational politics in this area. It suggests forms of didactic-pedagogic organization in the issue of overcoming consumer’s condition and reproducer of technologies, incorporating new forms of knowing: the inventive capacity. The technique matter, which has already been discussed by Castoriadis (1987), gets special attention nowadays, for its constant inclusion in the everyday discourse. How could the historical-cultural psychology contribute to the reading of this reality? Trying to fulfill the real need of investing in what is beyond what has the already been constructed, regarding the current level of development as developed by Binet and Simon, is that education should encourage the emergence of new approaches and new connections of knowledge. Thus, the concept of Zone of Proximal Development- ZPD, developed by Vygotski, in the thirties of the last century, is crucial, since it can modify the position of the professor in teaching and learning situations, by suggesting the interaction between pairs as a means of developing and creating new solutions to old problems faced by science.
