Abstract

This article has the purpose to put forward perspectives for the comprehension about how could a false japanese artist get life at the two main Fortaleza’s newspapers (Ceará, Brazil). It begins with a discussion about the function of the release at the current journalistic’s routines. To develop the analysis, the case is studied starting from the concept of artistic camp, by Bourdieu (2003), which has inspired the artist in his iniciative; and from the concept of simulacrum by Jean Baudrillard (1991). In theoretical and methodological terms, this research favors the analysis of language and structure of the release that was used in order to dissaminate the exposition of the “japanese artist”. From this focus, it is intended to notice the codes of cultural journalism and other agents which contribute on the legitimation processes about the meanings of arts in contemporary terms. Keywords: Cultural journalism. Contemporany art. Release. Meanings of arts. Journalistic routines.
