Abstract

The World Bank and some European international organizations declare, repeatedly, that there is not development without economical growth. Effectively, it seems that they do not distinguish between the growth of the Gross Domestic Product from wealth distribution. This article tries to demonstrate that such differentiation ought to be done. For that, it discusses macrosocial indicators, linked to a sustainable development, starting from a critical reading of documents that the United Nations makes available to national policies guidance. The result is a provisory text, still on the make, but exposing different levels of empirical sustaining indicators. keywords: Sustainable Development (S.D.); Indicators of sustainability; World Bank.
