Abstract

The object of this research is to discuss the inclusion of family farmers practiced in the floodplains of irrigable down the River Jaguaribe in the process of modernization of the production process and the process of work (MARX, 1984) agriculture. The unit will search the time from 1970 to 2007. The cut-off socio-spatial is floodplain of Stream of Sand in Ilkeston do Norte, Ceara, Brazil. The goal is to understand the relationship of government policies, the techniques of regulation (LIPIETZ, 2008), the modernization exclusionary (SILVA, 1999) and regressive restructuring of family farming in wetlands with large agribusiness. The results of this exploratory phase of the research suggest that, in general, the family farmer is not exactly a provider of capital. He delivered, without guarantees, animals, fruit, vegetables or vegetables to the operators of distribution channels for the price, conditions, deadlines and guarantees that the retailer wants to pay.
