The parents and the brazilian media’s regulatory system: an essential partnership

Abstract

Considering the strong and active influence that the mass-media represent to the childish universe, the need of developing public polices and other sorts of initiatives that collaborate to the promotion and protection of this particular minority, claimed to be registered. In this context, the Brazilian Media’s Regulatory System, supported by the State and Civil Organizations, was pointed as one of those initiatives and had it’ proposals discussed by parents and children’s responsible people in a general way (who lived in Fortaleza-CE (Brasil)), with the goal of collecting relevant information about the instrument’s value and effectiveness, considering the atmosphere of the relationship established among Communication, Education and the Family. Besides that, an attempt of proving the hypothesis that the Brazilian Media’s Regulatory System focus on some specific families and children was made, and confirmed, by the realization of a research which involved qualitative and quantitative methods.
