Abstract

This essay intends to present some facts of the Portuguese language spoken in Ceará. Inicially, we assume that many of the linguistic phenomena observed occur in different areas or territorial regions of Brazil. Next, based on previously published data, we focus on the traces of phonological, lexical and morphosyntatic nature. Eventually, we point out that one of the riche stand most fascinating aspect of the Portuguese spoken in Ceará relies on the expressive motivation of phrasal ordering and construction.
