Abstract

This study consists of a systematic literature review aimed at analyzing academic articles published from 2012 to 2023 that used Dialogical Self Theory as a theoretical framework for research on adolescence. The results indicate that the number of publications in this field remains limited, highlighting the need for longitudinal, process-oriented research focusing on the dialogical self during early adolescence. Nevertheless, advances were identified in research on adolescence within the field of Cultural Psychology, particularly regarding human developmental processes.
